Love love loved this outfit. :)
This is one of my favorite looks that I have just thrown together. Sometimes, I will look, play and try on clothes for an hour and not find an outfit that really makes me happy. This one, I threw on in 5 minutes and was extremely pleased. The dress underneath is just a really stretchy cheap dress that I have had for probably 10 years and never worn, but it went perfect with everything. I snapped this pic as I was running out the door because the hubby was already in the truck. :)
I have never been one to mix browns and blacks or navy, but after seeing it so much on the internet, I fell in love. It is one of those things that just doesn't seem right if you are not used to it. My husband even thinks I should be wearing black boots, but I think the brown added a pop. What do you think? Ever wear black and brown together? I am curious. :)
Anyway, here is a breakdown of the outfit.
Navy blue pea coat, a few years old...Old Navy (ha! no pun intended, but it worked out)
Short stretchy navy blue dress..very old...even remember that I paid $5.00 for it at a discount store.
Tights are black and came from Rue 21 recently.
Boots are Tommy Hilfiger from several years ago.
Scarf was just purchased at Factory Connection for $7.99, I don't know the brand.
Here is another pic. I tried to brighten the color a bit so you could see more details.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE that outfit! I've never been one to mix my browns, blacks, blues either. But I'm digging it on everyone I'm seeing it on. One of these days I might try it myself.
