Mini oven burgers that you must try!

Sometimes you come across
a recipe
that just works.
It is easy, quick and delicious!
These burgers are just that!
I have made them
4 times now,
and I am going to continue to
make them again and again...
and again.

I have to apologize, my main computer
is dead, so
these pics are from my phone.
They aren't as good as
my fancy camera would do, but
maybe they
will serve the purpose. :)

They are pretty much the
simplest
burgers you will ever make.
And you can make them taste like
a variety of burgers.
I have made
them similar to the mini burgers
from Dairy Queen
 and like a mini
Big Mac.  They are a
must-try!

You will need...

1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds of lean hamburger meat
(1 3/4 if you want them thicker)
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 small chopped onion
Lawry's season salt
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 pkg Hawaiian rolls (12)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Line a 9x13 pan with foil and spray with non stick cooking spray.  Mix the meat and bread crumbs with your hands in a large bowl until blended. Press the meat in the pan like below.

Sprinkle the entire pan of meat with a good coat of Lawry's.
Then top with the onions.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.   I check mine at about 15 minutes and pour any grease off.  They will shrink some, but
as long as you use lean burger, they will be fine.

When they are done, add the cheese and put back in the oven for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.

Cut them into 12 squares.  Place a large piece of foil on a cookie sheet.  Slice your rolls in half and add a burger square to each roll.
I add mustard and a hamburger dill to make them taste like the ones from DQ.   To make them perfect, you are going to gently wrap them in foil...rolls and all, and place them back in the oven to steam.  You can leave the oven off, it will still be warm enough if you do this right after they are done.  Just let them sit in the oven for about 6-8 minutes.

To make them taste like mini Big Macs, go ahead and steam them like above but don't add the mustard and pickle.  When you take them out, add shredded lettuce and some 1000 Island dressing mixed with just a little Miracle Whip.   They are yummy!

Love what you eat and eat what you love! :)
