My colorful skinny jean dilemma

I have been seeing the colorful skinny jeans ALOT on the blogs that I follow.  I tend to stay away from colored pants and stick with regular jeans or shorts, but I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair of them.  I shopped for them at Rue 21.  Rue tends to have some super trendy clothes at a price that won't break the bank, this helps, especially on some colored jeans that I was not too sure about in the first place.

The pair I decided to buy were a kind of a dark sea foam green.  They were $21.99.  When I got to the register, my friend "G"  :) who happens to just be awesomely cool, said..."Guurrrrl!  You need to check out this rack of skinny pants right here, they are on sale for $2.00 a pair."  WhAt?  There even happened to be a pair on the rack that looked almost exactly like the ones I was fixing to buy.  So, I put back the ones I was going to buy and instead bought SEVEN different colors for $14.00 plus tax!  How cool is that?  They fit perfectly and are super soft and comfortable.  I am one happy chickie!  Rue 21 rocks!  Here are my colors...

Since I am not used to having color on my bottom half, it will take some experimenting to get the color combinations right.  I tried a few over the weekend.  Here are a few examples..

This is the creme pair with a button up shirt from Maurices that I just picked up at a yard sale for $2.00.  So that means my pants were $2 and my shirt was $2.  Talk about a bargain!  I am not ashamed to wear a bargain.   In fact, I live for them!

This next one is a question of white pants or red.  I actually like the red now that I am looking back at the photos.  I got this shirt at the same yard sale for $2.00.  I obviously had a great weekend!

Here is a deep red and black sheer top with the red pants.  This is one more shirt from my $2.00 yard sale collection.  Still up in the air on this one.  Need to try it with the black pants and compare.  The shoes are BCBG.  Got them at Goodwill for $8.00, like new.  Found the same pair on eBay for $150.00.  They have a chain going across the top that is just awesome.

Here is a pic of the ones on eBay.  They are very comfortable.

This is the outfit I ended up wearing.  I guess I wasn't quite ready for the bold color skinnies yet.  But I will keep trying and will make it out of the house with some on very soon!

Wear what makes you happy.  If you are happy, you will shine.  :)

    3. Actually, I think tall makes skinny jeans look better, so they would probably look great on her! She would need some extra tall, but they are out there now, when I was her age, mine were all just "high waters"
